The Harford County Sheriff’s Youth Academy is an annual event that is held for local high school students. This is a tremendous opportunity for youths to learn about law enforcement. Attendees of the Youth Academy spend five days and four nights at the Harford Glen Environmental Education Center at no cost. Attendees will be given classroom instruction and hands on activities that encompass a broad spectrum of law enforcement responsibilities. Tours of Harford County Sheriff’s Office facilities and Emergency Operations Center are just some of the planned activities. Traditional summer camp activities are planned in the evenings such as canoeing, an evening at the Regal Cinemas, and Ropes course team building initiatives.
