Joppa Shooting 28 year old male injured

[July 23, 2014, Joppa, MD] At approximately 10:20 pm, on Tuesday July 22, 2014 deputies responded to a call for a shooting in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway, in Joppa.

The victim, identified as Ryan Jay Kerrigan, age 28 of Bel Air, reported that he had left Stone House Tattoos, and was walking to his car, when he was accosted by two black males. He fought back and one suspect discharged a firearm, striking Kerrigan a single time in the arm.

Kerrigan was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview by Joppa Magnolia VFC with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects were described as black males, one in a white shirt and one wearing a yellow and white shirt. They fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

Detectives are actively investigating. No further information at this time.
