Armed Suspect Robs Sovereign Bank

[December 17, 2012, Bel Air, MD] - At approximately 11:08 am on today's date, a white male in his 40's entered the Sovereign Bank at 1816 Emmorton Road, Bel Air. He displayed a firearm and directed a bank employee to give him the cash from the teller station. He was wearing a hard hat, a dust or surgical mask, blue jeans, work boots and a plaid flannel shirt. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he fled on foot to the rear of the bank. The Patterson Mill High School, located directly across the street from the bank was placed temporarily on lock down while police searched for the suspect. There were no injuries and detectives are not certain if this robbery is connected to several others that have recently occurred in Harford County.
