PNC Bank in Forest Hill Robbed

(Forest Hill, MD - Friday, April 13, 2012) – David William Hayes, age 28, of the 800 block of May Court in Bel Air, MD has been charged with robbery, and theft over $1,000 under $10,000 in connection with yesterday's robbery of the PNC Bank located at 2334 Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill, MD. He is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $1,000,000 bond. He is scheduled for an initial appearance in District Court on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1:15pm.

Suspect Quickly Apprehend

(Forest Hill, MD -Thursday, April 12, 2012 – 8:16pm) On Thursday, April 12, 2012 at approximately 4:45 pm, Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the PNC Bank located at 2334 Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill MD for a bank robbery. The suspect, described as a skinny white male, around 6'2" tall and approximately 25 years old, entered the building, demanded cash and fled the scene by car.

Baltimore County Police Department Aviation Unit was in the air at the time the incident was reported. They immediately responded and were able to track the suspect's vehicle from the air. Harford County Sheriff's Office and Maryland State Police on the ground set up a perimeter and were able to locate the suspect through aviation's visual cues, despite heavy traffic and multiple avenues of escape.

At approximately 5:15 pm, less than 30 minutes after the robbery occurred, the suspect was apprehended without incident and taken into custody by Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies in the 400 block of Whitaker Mill Road in Fallston MD, located near the Fallston Wal-Mart on Bel Air Road. He did not have a weapon.
