Disturbance at Harford Community College

(Bel Air, MD – April 9, 2012) On Monday, April 9, 2012 at approximately 10:40am, Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 call that a homicidal/suicidal subject was on the campus of Harford Community College and wanted to cause harm.

It was determined that the individual, a male student of Harford Community College, was near the campus library when he verbalized his distress to his own medical personnel, who in turn contacted the Sheppard Pratt Mobile Crisis Team, who contacted 911.

Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies working in tandem with Harford Community College Public Safety officers were able to quickly locate the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident by 11:20am. The male had no weapons on his person or in his vehicle.

He was transported by deputies to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for evaluation. There are no charges pending at this time.
