Man Shot in Attempted Robbery in Edgewood

[August 25, 2011, Edgewood, MD] — Shortly after midnight on Thursday, August 25, 2011, Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 900 block of Topview Drive in Edgewood MD for a report of an assault.

Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Daniel Beeghley, age 24 of the 900 block of Topview Drive in Edgewood MD. Beeghley had been shot in the upper leg. Beeghley was treated at the scene by Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department and transported by ambulance to John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. He was released before 3:00am.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Beeghley was shot in an attempted robbery near Swallow Crest and Eloise Lane. The suspects are described as two black males, both approximately 5'8" tall with a slight build. Both suspects were described to be wearing dark shirts, black bandanas and ankle length denim shorts. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is encouraged to contact Detective Nick Petrozinno of the Harford Criminal Investigations division at 410-836-5014.
