Armed Bank Robbery in Jarrettsville

(Jarrettsville, MD – December 17, 2010) On Friday, December 17, 2010 at approximately 4:10pm, Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the BB&T bank located in the 3800 block of Jarrettsville Pike, Jarrettsville, MD in reference to a 911 call for a reported armed robbery. A white male weighing between 150lbs and 180lbs wearing a green/beige jacket and gloves entered the bank wearing a full-face motorcycle helmet with a lime green design on the side. He was carrying a long gun with a scope and a black duffle bag. Upon entry, he pointed the weapon at the tellers who were behind the counter and demanded money. No one was injured during the robbery.

After filling the black duffle bag with an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank. He was seen driving away from the bank in a red Nissan pick up truck. He turned south onto Jarrettsville Pike. Deputies conducted a canvas of the area with negative results.
