Deputies Investigate Homicide in Edgewood

(Edgewood, MD – June14, 2008) — Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of an 18 year old man and the shooting of a 20 year old man which occurred early Saturday morning and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s).

Investigation thus far has revealed that Timothy and Taurean Williams were gathering together with several other people on Candlewood Drive. At 2:57 am deputies responded to a 911 call in the 1600 block of Candlewood Drive Edgewood, MD in reference to a shooting and determined, both victims, Taurean Philip Williams, 18, of Edgewood, MD and Timothy Patrick Williams, 20, of Edgewood, MD sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Tauren Williams was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy. Timothy Williams was treated at the scene by members of the Joppa Volunteer Fire Department and transported by Maryland State Police Medivac to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 410-836-5430. Additionally Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the shooting. To be eligible for the reward, tipsters must call the 24-hour tip-line at 1-888-540-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their name nor appear in court. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
