Car Crash into a Building / 3 Families Displaced.

(Abingdon, MD) — Three families have been displaced after a car crashed into a condominium building causing structural damage. At 10:37am, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 3400 block of Tulley’s Point Court in Abingdon, Maryland for a report of a car crash into a condominium building. Investigation revealed Lorraine M. Satterfield, 82, of the 3500 block of Thomas Point Court was driving her 1994 Buick on Tulley’s Point Court when for an unknown reason she veered off the road and crashed into the building. Mrs. Satterfield’s vehicle struck the corner of the condominium building causing the brick work to become dislodged. Fear structural compromise the deputies evacuated the building. Building Inspectors from the Harford County Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits responded to the scene and declared one side of the building unsafe and asked those families to seek shelter elsewhere. Three families were displaced and there were no injuries to either Mrs. Satterfield or any of the residents. The owner of the condo that was struck was not home at the time of the crash.

No traffic charges were filed against the driver, Mrs. Satterfield.
