Sex Offender Arrested for Burglary

(Edgewood, MD - April 1, 2008) — After investigating a residential burglary which occurred on Friday, March 21, 2008, deputies arrested and charged Robert Lee Auble, 35, of the 6200 blk of Edgewood Road, Edgewood, MD with First Degree Burglary. Auble is currently registered with the Sheriff's Office as a sexually violent offender.

At approximately 9:00 pm on Friday March 21, 2008, Harford County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 600 block of Silverbell Drive in reference to a home that had been burglarized. The owner of the residence told deputies that he had left for work at 6:00 am and returned at 9:00 pm home to find that someone had broken into his home.

Investigation revealed that entry into the house was made through a rear sliding glass door which had been damaged. The house had been ransacked and several items stolen.

The responding patrol officer processed the scene and obtained evidence which pointed to Auble. Auble is also registered with the Sheriff's Office as a sexually violent offender.

A warrant was issued on March 28, 2008 for Auble's arrest in connection with the burglary. He was arrested the same day in his residence without incident and transported to the Harford County Detention Center for processing. As a result of a bond review hearing held on Monday, March 31, 2008, he is being held with no bond.
