Local High School Student Arrested on Weapons Charges
(Pylesville, MD – January 30, 2008) — Just before 8 a.m. this morning, Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a black powder rifle, and machete from a student’s vehicle at North Harford High School located at 211 Pylesville Road, Pylesville.
Deputies assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office School Policing Unit and School Administrators received information that a student was believed to have weapons in his vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle parked in the student parking lot on the North Harford High School campus. A search revealed a black powder rifle, machete and a pocket knife.
The student, a 17 year old male from Jarrettsville was taken into custody and charged with three counts of a Deadly Weapon on School Property, and Disturbing School Operations. The juvenile was released from custody to his parents pending an arraignment through the Department of Juvenile Services.
