Detectives Seeking Assistance Solving Golf Course Burglaries

(Harford County, MD – November 15, 2007) — Harford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance to identify the person(s) responsible for two local golf course burglaries that occurred on the same date back in August 2007.

Both burglaries occurred during the early morning hours on August 2, 2007 with the suspect(s) stealing or attempting to steal money from the businesses. The burglarized businesses were, Swan Creek County Club located on Country Club Road in Havre de Grace, and Wetlands Golf Club located on Gilbert Road in Aberdeen. During an investigators regional meeting sheriff’s detectives learned that over the past year several similar burglaries have occurred at golf courses in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

There are currently no suspects in the burglaries. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 410-836-5434. Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing the crime.
