Vance Edwin Major, Wanted for Murder

(September 11, 2007) — Sheriff’s Deputies are seeking information that will lead to the apprehension of Vance Edwin Major who is wanted for the murder of Samuel David Horne, age 25 of Edgewood. Horne was shot multiple times on August 11, 2007 following an alleged dispute between a group of men and the victim in the 1800 block of Brookside Drive Edgewood, MD.

Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant charging Major with first degree murder in connection with the shooting. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Major, who goes by the street name "Twiz", is described as a 28 year old black male, 5'-10" tall, 205 lbs., with a shaven head and hazel eyes. His last known address was in the 300 block of Nepperhan Avenue located in Yonkers, New York.

Major is the fourth suspect to be charged in connection with Samuel Horne's homicide by Sheriff's detectives with a fifth suspect, yet to be identified, described only as a black male with short hair.
