Seven Arrested in Edgewood Warrant Sweep

(Bel Air, MD – August 30, 2007) — The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Warrant / Fugitive Unit conducted a warrant sweep in the Edgewood area of the county starting in the early the morning hours of Thursday, August 30, 2007. The sweep operated for six hours from 6 a.m. until 12 noon as part of an initiative started by Sheriff L. Jesse Bane to combat area crime.

Members from the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Office of Child Support Enforcement Unit and the Community Action Response Team in conjunction with Central Records, Inter-Agency Processing Center and the Emergency Operations Center assisted the Warrant / Fugitive Unit in this combined effort. Five warrant teams were able to attempt the service of 38 warrants that resulted in the arrest of seven wanted persons.
