Joppa Man Stabbed to Death
(Edgewood, MD – August 26, 2007) — Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a stabbing complaint in the 1900 block of Edgewater Drive, where a caller reported a man had been stabbed through 911.
Upon arrival at the scene deputies found the victim, identified as David Arnold Byrd, 30 being administered aid by members of Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department. Byrd, who resides in the 400 block of Latimer Road in Joppa, was observed to be suffering from a stab wound to his mid torso area. The victim was transported by ambulance to Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore where he later died.
There are currently no suspects in the homicide. Investigators with the Harford County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation. Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing the crime.
