Edgewood Man Murdered

Victim Shot Multiple Times

(Edgewood, MD – August 11, 2007) — Shortly after 2:30 p.m. Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 1800 block of Brookside Drive, where an unidentified caller reported a man had been shot through 911.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies found the victim, identified as Samuel David Horne, 25 lying in the roadway. Horne, who resides in the 800 block of Grempler Way, was observed to be unconscious with several gunshot wounds to his upper torso.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel from the Joppa – Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and transported by ambulance to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air where he was pronounced dead.

There are currently no suspects in the homicide. Investigators with the Harford County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 410-836-5430. Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for committing the crime.
