Federal Authorities Assist in Search of Escapee

FBI and U.S. Marshals Assist in Hunt

(Bel Air, MD – January 26, 2007) — Harford County Sheriff’s Office has received the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the United States Marshals Service in the search for escaped inmate, Terrance Kassis Washington.

Washington is now believed to be traveling in the southern United States in a stolen a 1994 black GMC two wheel drive Sonoma pickup truck with Virginia vanity plates ” BDONS” that was reported stolen from Mecklenburg County (Virginia) Sheriff’s Office early Thursday morning. A set of Virginia license plates, CJ 5982 was also reported stolen from the same vicinity however; it is not known if the stolen plates are displayed on the stolen GMC truck.

The FBI currently holds an active federal arrest warrant for Terrance Washington charging him with two counts of bank robbery and one count of escape for offenses in Louisiana and Arkansas. Washington is listed as an extreme escape risk and should be considered armed and dangerous according to federal authorities.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Terrance Washington, 31, is urged to contact the Baltimore Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 410-265-8080, the United States Marshal Service at 1-800-336-0102, the Harford County Sheriff's Office at 410-838-6600 or your local law enforcement agency. Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of Washington. To be eligible for the reward, tipsters must contact the tip-line at 1-888-540-TIPS. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
