Sheriff’s Office Seeks Information on Indecent Exposures

(Joppatowne, MD – December 21, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies are seeking information on a rash of indecent exposure crimes that have plagued the Joppatowne area of the county for more then two years. Sheriff’s Deputies will be in Joppatowne today, canvassing neighborhoods speaking to residents and gathering information.

The latest incident occurred on December 3, 2006 in the 700 block of Brooke Court in Joppa when the victim heard a knock on a rear window of his residence. Investigating the noise the victim looked outside and observed a white male exposing himself. The suspect was described by the victim as a thin build white male, wearing dark clothing and a dark ski mask covering his face. Past victim accounts have described the suspect as a white male, 5’-10” to 6’-2”, medium to slim build in his late teens or early twenties.

Residents are asked to pay special attention to wooded areas around their neighborhoods particularly between the hours of 9 p.m. - 3 a.m. Suspicious activity should be reported immediately by calling 911 or the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 410-838-6600.
