Convenience Store Robberies Linked

(Edgewood, MD – December 16, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the recent armed robberies of 2 convenience stores committed by the same male suspect.

The first robbery occurred on December 7, 2006 at the Royal Farms store located in the 2900 block of Churchville Road Churchville, MD. The second was committed almost a week later on December 13, 2006 again at a Royal Farms store located in the 2600 block of Mountain Road Joppa, MD. In both robberies after entering the stores the suspect would pick up an item and present it to the store clerk to purchase. Once the clerks opened up their registers for the sales a handgun was revealed from inside his waistband and money would be demanded. In each case the clerks complied with the demands handing over the stores’ receipts to the suspect who escaped on foot without further incident. No injuries were reported by the clerks in either incident.

Both clerks described the robber as a white male, 5-8 to 5-10 with a reddishbrown mustache. At the time of the robberies the suspect was wearing a dark cut sleeve hooded sweatshirt, dark long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, brown work boots and sunglasses.

Still images from security video are provided with this release to assist in the identification of the suspect.
