Man Attempts to Entice Student into Vehicle

(Edgewood, MD – December 15, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a suspicious incident involving a man who attempted to entice an Edgewood High School student into his vehicle earlier this week.

The 16-year old female was walking to school on Perry Avenue when unknown male pulled up beside her asking if she needed a ride. The student refused the ride and the man attempted to block her in with his vehicle however; she was able to get a way and ran to school. Upon arrival at school the student reported the incident to the Harford County Sheriff’s School Policing Officer assigned to Edgewood High School.

A search of the neighborhood was conducted by sheriff’s deputies, however efforts to locate the suspect where to no avail.

The student described the suspect as a white male, between the ages of 25 – 30, medium build having, a thin finely trimmed beard along the jaw line. At the time of the incident the man was wearing a gray hooded jacket, black shirt and black skull cap. He was operating a four-door compact sedan with gray interior and dice hanging from the rear view mirror.
