Woman Charged with Assault Following Stabbing Incident
Cut Victim Several Times with Knife
(Bel Air, Md. – September 8, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff's Deputies have charged a 38 year-old Edgewood woman in connection with the assault and stabbing of Katrina Lanette Jones, 25, Thursday evening. The altercation occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. at the home of the victim, located in the 400 block of Meadowood Drive in the Windsor Valley community of Edgewood.
Investigators charged Audrey Lynne Fox of the 1600 block of Candlewood Court with assault, first degree; assault, second degree and carrying a deadly weapon with intent to injure. If convicted on all charges, Fox could be sentenced to 38 years in prison.
Jones was transported to the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Bayview Medical Center where she was admitted for treatment of several lacerations and puncture wounds to her hands, arms, face, head and back. She is listed in stable condition.
Fox sustained a cut to a hand during the assault on Jones. She was treated and released from the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air and was subsequently incarcerated in the Harford County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
The assault occurred following a verbal altercation between the two women.
