Woman Stabbed Following Argument

Victim in Stable Condition

(Edgewood, Md. – September 7, 2006) — A 25 year-old woman is in stable condition following an assault Thursday evening at her home in Edgewood. Katrina Lanette Jones, who resides in the 400 block of Meadowood Drive in the Windsor Valley community, sustained at least four lacerations and two puncture wounds following an altercation with another woman.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on the patio to the rear of the victim’s home on Meadowood Drive. The motive for the assault is unknown at this time.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and subsequently transported to the Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore. She is currently listed in stable condition.

Sheriff’s Deputies have a 38 year-old woman from Candlewood Court in Edgewood in custody, and are questioning her in connection with the assault.

No other injuries were reported.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is continuing the investigation of the attack.
