Body Discovered in Perryman Field Identified

(Bel Air, Md. – June 16, 2006) — The badly decomposed body found in a remote field in the Perryman area of Harford County has been identified. Criminal investigators with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) forensic laboratory, have identified the victim as Sheila Ann Turner, 42 of Holly Circle in Aberdeen. Turner had been missing since May 26, 2006.

Amtrak employees working in the area discovered the deceased shortly before 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2006.

Sheriff’s Deputies are asking anyone with information regarding the death of Sheila Ann Turner, to contact investigators at 410-836-5428 or 410-836-5434 Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the death of Ms. Turner. To be eligible for the reward, tipsters must call the 24-hour tip-line at 1-888-540-TIPS. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
