Abingdon Convenience Store Robbed

(Bel Air, Md. – January 20, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the 7 – 11 store located in the 3900 block of Pulaski Highway in Abingdon. The robbery occurred at approximately 5:17 a.m. today.

Store clerks reported a white male, approximately 5’ 6” – 5’8”, 140 – 160 lbs. wearing a black hat, black jacket, dark colored pants and bandana on his face, entered the store brandishing a handgun. The suspect ordered the employees to open the cash registers and then removed the contents before fleeing from the store. The suspect got away with less than $500.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was last seen traveling eastbound on Pulaski Highway in an unknown make and model vehicle.

The Criminal Investigation Division of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation of the armed robbery. Sheriff R. Thomas Golding is asking anyone with information regarding the crime or the suspect to contact investigators at 410-838-6600.

Additionally, Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for this armed robbery. Tipsters must call the 24-hour tip-line at 1-888-540-TIPS to be eligible for the reward. Callers do not have to give their name and do not have to appear in court.
