Sheriff Holds Promotion and Awards Ceremony
(Bel Air, Md. – January 12, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff R. Thomas Golding held an awards and promotion ceremony on Thursday, January 12, 2006. The ceremony was held at the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company in Bel Air.
Sheriff Golding presented awards to thirty sworn and civilian personnel. The awards included those for Life Saving; Merit Commendation; Letter of Commendation and Certificate of Appreciation.
Personnel receiving Life Saving awards were: Deputy Chris Behles, DFC Richard Berg, Deputy Charles Blessing, Sgt. Charles Carr, Sgt Bernard Chandler, DSC Holly Hinkle, DFC Donald Hopps, DFC Brad McQuay, DFC Sam Mitchell, DFC Todd Robinson, and DFC Greg Young. Those receiving Merit Commendation awards were: DFC Aaron Huch, Sgt Tim Impallaria, DFC Mark Jeric, DFC Gerard Morgan, DFC John Ryan and Ranger Jerry A. Skrzypiec of the Department of Natural Resources. Personnel receiving Letter of Commendation awards were: DFC Christopher Allen, Deputy John Blair, DFC Vincent Denardi, DFC Gerald Eaton, DFC Michael Lane, DFC Glenn Lingenfelter, DFC Mark Logsdon, DFC Mark Logsdon, Cpl Gary Tingler, DFC Norman Turner, and DFC Daniel Wood. Finally, those receiving a Certificate of Appreciation were: Jason Hensen, Teresa Colburn and Jonathan McGuirk.
In addition to those receiving awards, Sheriff Golding recognized personnel who were promoted in July, August and November 2005 as well as those being promoted effective January 14, 2006.
Personnel promoted in July 2005 included: Captain Mark Forwood, Lt. Daniel Galbraith, Cpl. Donald Gividen, Sgt. Timothy Impallaria, Sgt. Mark Junkerman, Lt. Jonathan Krass, and Cpl. Veto Mentzell. Those personnel promoted in August 2005 were: Sgt. Dave Datsko and Cpl. John Seilback.
Personnel promoted effective November 2005 were: Lt. Michael Siler, Sgt. George Holdorf, and Cpl. William Benjamin.
Those personnel recognized for promotion effective January 14, 2006 were: Major John Dennison, Captain Chris Swain, Lt. Jack Meckley, Sgt. Doug Reppar, Cpl. Gary Mitchell, Sgt Lisa Walter and Cpl Sean Kahler.
Commenting on those receiving awards as well as those recently promoted, Sheriff Golding stated, “Each of the people recognized have distinguished themselves and are most deserving of the honors bestowed upon them. We are fortunate to have these outstanding individuals serving the citizens of Harford County.”
