Edgewood Man Arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine
(Bel Air, Md. – January 12, 2006) — A 25 year-old man from Longwood Court in Edgewood was arrested Monday, January 9, 2006 on charges of possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, burglary – 3rd degree, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Aaron Marcellous Anderson was arrested by Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies Monday morning following their investigation of Anderson attempting to sell drugs in the Edgewood community.
Deputies were dispatched to area of Hanson Road and Harford Square Drive when residents reported a man, later identified as Anderson, was attempting to sell drugs to people in the community. While investigating that complaint, deputies were advised by Clarice Richardson that Anderson had broken into here home in the 600 block of Longwood Court.
During their investigation of both complaints, sheriff’s deputies located Anderson entering a residence at 645 Longwood Court. When they entered the residence to interview Anderson, a quantity of drugs, including suspected marijuana, and approximately five ounces of crack cocaine were found.
Following further investigation and interviews, Anderson was arrested for possession of controlled dangerous substances. Anderson was transported to the Harford County Detention Center for arrest processing and was held on $75,000 bond.
