Jewelry Recovered from JM Jewelers Armed Robbery

(Bel Air, Md. – January 10, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies have located and recovered some of the jewelry taken during the armed robbery in November from J M Jewelers in Bel Air. The jewelry was recovered as the result of a search and seizure warrant served in Baltimore County.

Investigators from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, working in cooperation with Baltimore County Police, served a search and seizure warrant at the residence of Syed Kashif Hussain, age 30, of 2809 Greesham Way in the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Monday. As a result of the search warrant, investigators discovered and recovered a bag of assorted emeralds, a loose diamond with certificate and a ring. All of the jewelry was stolen during the armed robbery at J M Jewelers on November 14, 2005.

Baltimore County Police arrested Hussain on charges related to crimes in Baltimore County. He was incarcerated in the Baltimore County Detention Center on $50,000 bond. Additional charges are pending by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office for possession of stolen property by Hussain.

The investigation of the armed robbery of J M Jewelers, specifically the recovery of jewelry from the robbery is continuing.
