Four Juveniles Charged with Burglary of Joppatowne Home
(Bel Air, Md. – January 9, 2006) — Harford County Sheriff’s Deputies have charged four juveniles, two 17 year-olds and two 16 year-olds, in connection with the burglary of the home of William Scott, located in the 500 block of Foster Knoll Drive in Joppatowne. One female and three males were charged in connection with the incident, which occurred January 4, 2006 at approximately 1:20 p.m.
Scott was not home at the time of the burglary.
A witness contacted the Sheriff’s Office after he noticed the four youths leaving the Scott residence carrying various personal property. Subsequent information indicated the four suspects left the scene in a red Honda Civic. The vehicle and suspects were later found on Meadowood Drive in Edgewood with the property allegedly stolen from the home of Scott.
No injuries were reported.
All four juveniles were transported to the Southern Precinct for arrest processing. The female was released to the custody of the Department of Juveniles Services. All three males were released to the custody of their respective parents.
Commenting on the successful closure of the burglary, Sheriff R. Thomas Golding stated, “The information provided by the witness was critical in helping deputies to locate the suspects and property in this case. Citizens in our community are the eyes and ears of law enforcement and are vital partners in our efforts to fight crime.”
