Bob Evans Armed Robbery

(Bel Air, MD – June 3, 2009) – Harford County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the armed robbery of the Bob Evans Restaurant located on Bel Air South Parkway in Bel Air.

On Sunday May 31, 2009 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a black male suspect smashed the front door window and made entry into the restaurant. At the time, the restaurant was closed and locked, however, four employees were still in the building cleaning and completing closing activities. The suspect confronted an employee at gunpoint and ordered the employee to the back office area where the night manager was located. At gunpoint, the manager was ordered to hand over all of the money in the office. Hearing the commotion, the two other employees came to the office area and were immediately ordered to the floor by the suspect. After taking the money the suspect ordered all four employees into the freezer and then fled the scene. After waiting approximately 15 minutes the employees exited the freezer and called 911. The employees were not injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, 5’09” – 6’0” tall, heavy set build, wearing all black clothing, black gloves, and a multi colored bandana.
