Quartermaster/Fleet Management

The Quartermaster and Fleet Management Unit is staffed by two civilian employees. The unit is responsible for the purchasing and maintenance of all uniforms and equipment utilized by the members of the Sheriff's Office. Approximately 285 members of the agency serve in a uniformed capacity. The quartermaster is required to order thousands of shirts and trousers and maintain an inventory to replace worn and damaged items. The unit stocks other equipment vital to a deputy’s job performance including body armor, firearms, ammunition, belts, hats, jackets, and much more.

The fleet management component of the unit is responsible for purchasing vehicles, scheduling maintenance, and installation of emergency equipment (i.e. lights, sirens, markings, and radios). The Sheriff’s Office utilizes approximately 254 vehicles including marked patrol cars, motorcycles, K-9 units, boats, and tactical response vehicles.
